The Sinbad’s of today had a very humble beginning in March 1994 when the doors first opened. It is because of Ziad Naoum’s perseverance and dedication to providing the best food and experience to his customers that Sinbad’s continues to prosper today.

In 1999 when more staff was added, Ziad’s brother Imad also joined the crew who had just arrived from Lebanon.

In 2001 and again 2006, extensive remodeling was done to the interior and exterior; adding the patio, expanding the kitchen and enhancing the Sinbad’s dining room.

Ziad and Imad Naoum remain committed to their formula for success: providing authentic fresh dishes and the best service possible which has resulted in Sinbad’s being voted, the best Middle Eastern restaurant in town by both the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle as well as City Newspaper.

Awards
Sinbad’s was voted “Best Middle Eastern Restaurant” in City Newspaper’s ‘Best Of’ awards in 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006 and 2007

Open since 1994, Sinbad’s provides its customers a taste of Lebanon, courtesy of owners Ziad and Imad Naoum. A toasty-warm fireplace welcomes guests in winter, while summer diners flock to its patio, an ideal perch for Park Avenue people-watching. But no matter the season, Sinbad’s serves up traditional favorites like falafel, tabbouleh, and hummus, and as well as a variety of soups, salads, kabobs, pastas, and the popular “pitza pitas.”

Flippin’ amazing – I love this restaurant! It’s reasonable, cute, and amazing food!

This place has awesome food! Mediterranean/Greek/Lebanese. Fantastic Falafel! Not dry, but moist inside, crunchy outside, amazing flavor. Gyros in a crisped pita wrap – truly awesome!

Oh, it was amazingly tasty. I had expected the baba ganoush to be cold, but it was nice and warm as the wrap was toasted. What a heavenly taste. Too good to eat quickly. Must be eaten slowly. The baba ganoush also is slightly chunky rather than totally pureed, which gives it texture and more taste.

Excellent!. Last year, we moved to the Rochester area and are having a blast exploring the diverse cuisine. Our latest Mediterranean adventure to Sinbad’s was just fabulous! The food was fresh and tasty and the service was excellent. It is definitely on our “will return” list!

Wonderful, comfortable restaurant! Small, but excellent quality wine list. Food is always, always delicious and service consistently good. My family’s favorite restaurant! Nice sidewalk seating in good weather.

Always excellent! This is my regular place to go for healthy and tasty food. Great atmosphere and excellent service complete the package. The patio is one of my favorites on Park Ave.
